Key Areas of Responsibility:

• Transfer knowledge and expertise to other Teradata and Claraview professional services associates.
• Provide technical expertise to clients that will contribute to innovative business solutions.
• Work Environment:
• This position requires the ability to travel 80% of the time Monday-Thursday working/training with various clients throughout the United States. Training will be hands on and may be remote, and/or from another Teradata or Claraview facility possibly in Reston, Va. Candidates can live in any US city near a major airport. Based on project assignment, the individual in this position can expect about 80% travel to various customer sites.
• Usually assigned to a customer facing team working directly at a customer's site where results will be based on cooperation with and/or influence of others.
• Most work is at customer sites with on-site time typically 4 days per week on average.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• Minimum 3.0 GPA in Bachelors or Masters Degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Systems, MIS or other related fields
• Strong technical knowledge in computer technology
• Client Service Oriented
• Proactive and focused on results and success; conveys a sense of urgency and drives issues to closure
• Excellent oral/written communication & presentation skills
• U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Resident status required

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge and experience with relational database technology, SQL, UNIX, Linux, Windows, MS Office Suite, Java/C/C++ development, or end-user business intelligence tools, Cognos, MicroStrategy, OBIEE, Business Objects, etc.

Description

This position is a staff level data warehouse technical consultant within the Claraview Professional Services organization. This is a client-facing, project-oriented position having accountability for managing client expectations while delivering the services and solutions. The Associate Consultant provides in-depth technical analysis, design and implementation to support client implementations. The consultant will advise solution teams on technical solutions during the client engagement. Responsibilities may include technical design and implementation of BI solutions including Cognos Framework, Data Warehouse modeling, database query specifications, data sourcing, loading and transformation processes, database administration, performance tuning, administration, and security.
