Derek has over 13 years of business intelligence experience successfully partnering with companies and providing them direction in maturing their enterprise business intelligence investments.  His experience ranges from solution development, project management as well as strategic advisory services, teaming up with business and IT management to develop technology roadmaps to meet the current and future demands of their business.  Derek has worked with a variety of BI/EDW technologies including MicroStrategy, Microsoft, Ab Initio, Netezza and Teradata in addition to a variety of industry verticals such as Retail, Manufacturing, Telecommunications, Insurance and Healthcare. His current responsibilities include customer & engagement management in addition to strategic client solution services across several different industry verticals.

Prior to joining Claraview, Derek was instrumental in establishing a BI and EDW environment for Premier, Inc., a medical group purchasing and informatics company. Building this environment from the ground - up, he provided management, planning, analysis and architectural advisory services to enable the appropriate technology direction and alignment with business objectives.  Derek has also co-founded V, Inc., a technology firm focused on enabling small to medium-sized businesses with logistical work-flow management applications.

Derek holds BA's in Mass Communications and History from Winthrop University.
